The F-150 has been one of the most owned and trusted trucks on the planet for almost 50 years. Now with the 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning on the roads, it is setting the bar for every other manufacturer to catch up.
The 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning: Electrifying The Future of Trucks
Lightning XLT Model
The XLT model is the base model that Ford offers to their customers, and Ford has still packed this truck with plenty of creature comforts and capabilities. Some of the main features that attract customers are the 360-degree camera, stylish signature front lighting, and the work surface inside the cabin between the driver and passenger seat. Let’s explore a bit more about what this amazing truck has to offer.
Exterior
The Lightning adds a very unique front-facing LED light that spans the whole front of the truck, giving it some refreshed flair. It comes standard with 20-inch alloy wheels, in a dark carbon-gray color. The bed of the truck is 5.5 feet due to the crew cab (4 doors). Entry into the vehicle is done remotely, or through the SecuriCode keyless entry keypad, located on the driver-side door. One of the coolest exterior features that Ford put into this truck is what they refer to as the “Frunk”, or the Front Trunk.
Interior
The interior is extremely classy and has all the bells and whistles that you’ve come to expect for everyday commuting. You may not even want to step into it with your muddy boots on, but hey, it’s a truck! The biggest thing you’ll notice when you get in and sit down is the massive 12-inch touchscreen. The next thing you’ll probably notice is the large work surface located in between the driver and passenger seat. This is made possible by the stow-away shifter and a panel that unfolds from the center console, allowing you to create a workspace large enough for a laptop, giving you an instant workstation, wherever you may be out on the road. You can even connect up to 10 devices via WiFi FordPass Connect.
Power
The XLT comes with a battery that supplies an EPA-estimated range of 240 miles on a single charge. It pumps out 452 horsepower, with a whopping 775 lb-ft of torque! The XLT package allows you to tow 11,700 pounds, but there are packages you can add to increase that amount. With the Ford Power Promise, when you purchase or lease a vehicle, Ford will install a complimentary home charger (restrictions apply, see dealer for details).
The new Lightning is designed with everyday life in mind, from work to play, it has you covered. Ford’s cutting-edge innovation remains to keep them at the top of consumers’ want lists, and this truck will not disappoint. Visit us at Ewald’s Hartford Ford in Hartford, WI.
